The Southern part of the archipelago attracts macro lens underwater photographers and marine biology enthusiasts with its unique marine ecosystem. Upwelling currents bring cold and rich waters up from the deep seas, creating the perfect environment for invertebrates to inhabit and evolve. A stunning aggregation of soft coral, sponges and tunicates hosts a countless number of nudibranchs, shrimps (Coleman, Skeleton…) and crabs (orang outan, zebra…). The rarer frogfish, ghost pipe fish and pygmy seahorse are also often spotted in the area.
